Early Treatment
According to the American Association of Orthodontists, kids should have an initial orthodontic screening at age 7. It’s important to recognize that early evaluation isn’t necessarily followed by early treatment; in most cases if orthodontic work is needed, we simply monitor your child’s growth patterns until we see that it’s time for treatment to begin. This allows us to get the best results most efficiently, and to help prevent future problems. Early evaluation is the answer to many orthodontic problems including, crossbite, crowding, and protruding teeth.
Braces
At Oasis Ortho, we offer all kinds of braces so you can choose what is most comfortable and effective for you. You can get the traditional braces, or white-gold braces which offer the best of both worlds – the durability of stainless steel and the aesthetics of “white gold”. Or you can go for something less visible with our clear braces made of transparent material.

That’s why we use all the latest equipment at our office. The latest iTero Scanner makes it easier to develop a precise 3D model of your teeth and gums. It is a convenient, hand-held device that weighs less than a pound, making it ideal to operate. It uses laser technology to provide a real-time simulation of your highly accurate dental impression. Itero scans eliminate the goopy impression material that was needed in the past.
Retention
Removal of the braces initiates the start of the retention phase and observation period of your orthodontic care. Please remember that this part of your treatment is just as important as the active movement phase in determining the ultimate success of your treatment. Once the teeth have been moved into their desired positions, a period of time is needed to stabilize the teeth so that the surrounding bone and soft tissues can conform to your new dental alignment. At the Oasis, we recommend a combination of a bonded or permanent retainer behind the front teeth in addition to a clear retainer that is worn every night. This combination approach provides the best chance for keeping that beautiful smile for the rest of your life.
